Allen is part of RLH’s Executive Committee. He’s had more than 25 years of experience in investment banking around the world, mostly at Goldman Sachs. There, he was director of the Mexican office, director of operations for Latin America, Director of emerging markets for the investment banking division, director of the Russian office, director of the industrial groups in Europe and director of the Spanish office.

He finished his career at that bank as one of the seven members of the “Firmwide Commitments Committee” responsible for authorising all capital commitments undertaken by the company and for monitoring commercial and reputational risks. He is currently chairman of the Board of Millicom International Cellular (a telecom company focused on emerging markets),member of the Board of Directors of AB Investment Kinnevik (a company listed in Sweden) and chairman of the Board of RLD (first BK Partners fund focused on real estate and land development in Mexico). He is also chairman of the Board of the School of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University, member of the Campaign Board of the Historic Royal Palaces in the UK and a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

Allen graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Economics from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico and earned a doctorate in Economics from Harvard University where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Jerónimo is a member of RLH’s Executive Committee. He has over 15 years experience in finances and investment, mainly acquired at Goldman Sachs where he was vice president in the company’s Principal Strategies Group, which was dedicated to investing the bank’s own capital. While at this bank, he was directly responsible for investments valued at US$300 million in Europe, mainly Germany, France and Spain. This portfolio focused on tourism, airlines, real estate and energy, among other sectors. He has also been highly involved in RLD, where he was responsible for the process of research and investment, procurement of financing and investor relations. Jerónimo holds an advanced degree in Business Administration from the University of Cologne in Germany and from the ICADE Pontificia Comillas University in Spain.

Borja is Managing Director and member of RLH’s Executive Committee. He has more than 15 years experience in Asset Management and Investment as a result of having been Manager of the Practice of Capital Markets, Asset Management and Global Custody at Arthur Andersen (now Deloitte) and CEO in Vector Cuatro. Borja founded Vector Cuatro in 2007 as a company focused on investment and asset management of renewable energy assets across the globe, leading the investment of more than US$ 4 Bn and the asset management of more than 1.200 MW for the main international investment funds and therefore validating the methodology developed by him in Asset Management in Vector Cuatro which can be replicable to different types of assets.

In 2014, when Vector Cuatro was the largest company in Asset Management in the third-party renewable projects area worldwide and counted on a team of more than 130 professionals across 12 offices, 9 countries and operating in 17 more, Borja sold the Group to Falck Renewables, a company listed in the stock market of Italy. Borja is member of the Executive Committee, member of the Investment Committee and of the Operating Committee of Balam Fund I and Balam CKD, as well as the President of the Board of Directors of Trappit (a company focused on the tourism / travelling sector, which owns a tool for buying ticket flights cheaper) and Founder and Member of the Board of Directors of Menorca Millennials (start-up sector).

Borja graduated in Business Administration in CUNEF and Universidad Complutense in Madrid. He also teaches different Master programs and is Director of two Executive Programs in the Centro de Estudios Garrigues. He speaks English and Spanish.

Juan Novoa started his career at KMPG, acquiring an excellent accounting methodology and knowledge of the Mexican GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS. Later he joined ING as an Audit Project Manager, and subsequently, he became SOX Manager, where he acquired great experience in the definition and implementation of internal control procedures with the best practices of the market. At a later stage, he joined RSA where he held several positions: Latin America Regional Internal Audit Manager, Risk Director and Controller. Finally, and prior to his incorporation to RLH, he held the position of CFO in Zurich.

Juan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Universidad Panamericana, additional studies in finance, as well as a diploma in Business from IPADE.

Francis is Executive Vice President of Assets and Transactions Management, has over 15 years of experience in the hotel industry from a finance perspective (investments, divestments, structured finance and M&A) as well as supervisory of hotel operators and corporate development. Before joining BK Partners, Francis held the position of Vice-President of Acquisitions and Development at Meridia Capital, a leading Spanish private equity firm specialized in investing in premium hotels and real estate with a special focus on Mexico, South America and Europe. As such he was responsible for sourcing, analyzing and executing all investments (over US$ 600M) as well as managing the portfolio. During his time at Meridia, Francis led the development of a prime mixed use real estate project in Paris which was later used as a case study in Harvard Business School.

Francis started his career in the hotel industry in the corporate finance team at Occidental Hotels & Resorts becoming ultimately Corporate Development Manager and adding transactions amounting to US$ 2,000M. Francis holds a B.A. in Business Management from the European Business School.

Investor Relations Officer, Diego has over 11 years of experience in the financial sector. He joined BK Partners as an Analyst in 2008 and was appointed Managing Director in 2015. Diego is responsible for analyzing private equity investments including valuation, market analysis and diversification strategies as well as for the monitoring and reporting of the companies in the portfolio.

Prior to joining BK, Diego served as an Associate for Santander Investment in the Equity Research department, where he was ranked first place in the Conglomerates Sector in the “Latin American Research Team 2007 and 2008” of Institutional Investor. During his tenure at Santander Investment, he had under coverage the Mexican Chemical & Energy sectors.

Diego also spent 2 years in Citigroup’s Investment Research unit analyzing Mexican and Brazilian homebuilders and infrastructure companies.
Diego is a level II CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) candidate and received his B.A. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Kappner graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in International Relations. She has extensive experience in marketing, particularly in tourism developments and real estate. She started her career at MIRA Companies where she first worked as a marketing coordinator and was later promoted to marketing manager. Subsequently, she was invited to work at Atlas Real Estate Group as head of marketing and recently served as Director of Marketing at RSC Development, where she did a stupendous job designing distinct marketing campaigns for the destination of Mandarina and the One&Only Mandarina Private Homes, amidst her other responsibilities of branding, marketing and public relations.

Ricardo Santa Cruz has over 12 years’ experience in land acquisition and real estate development in Mexico, having negotiated and acquired more than 1,600+ hectares of strategic development property on the Pacific Coast. He is a partner of RLH’s Mandarina project and was responsible for negotiating the purchase of its 260 hectares. Ricardo currently oversees all sales and marketing efforts for Mandarina. Ricardo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder and completed the AD2 program from the IPADE Business School. He is a member of YPO and serves on the advisory board for BBVA-Bancomer in Nayarit. Both a U.S and Mexican citizen, Ricardo is not only fluent in English and Spanish but truly bi-cultural.

Jessica is Legal Director of RLH Properties. She has more than 15 years of legal experience. She began her professional career at Larios, Rodríguez del Bosque and Buen. After that, she was incorporated as Legal Director of the companies owned by Carson & Brasch, a corporate group with interests in the financial, real estate and health sectors, mainly. She held this position until 2009, when she was incorporated as a Legal Associate to DRB Abogados, an office whose professional practice focuses on the provision of legal services in the area of financial and stock law. She was part of the legal partner in Gerbera Capital, Private Venture Capital and real estate.

Jessica García is a graduate of the Escuela Libre de Derecho and has a specialty of Legal Norms and Practices in Financial Markets.

Fernando has more than 12 years’ experience as an attorney in Mexico and the United States. His practice focuses in international corporate, finance, capital markets and real estate transactions. He has experience representing domestic and international clients in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, structured and leveraged financings, global securities offerings, private placements and real estate transactions. Before joining RLH, he was senior associate at Aziz & Kaye and senior and foreign associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle in Mexico and New York. Fernando holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and an LL.M. (master in law degree) from Columbia Law School in New York City. He is admitted to practice law in Mexico and the State of New York. Fernando speaks English and Spanish fluently as well as some Portuguese.
